What is the Habitat for Humanity ReStore?   

   Houston Habitat ReStores are nonprofit home improvement stores and donation centers. Our stores are made up of residential and commercial donations so we sell a variety of items; such as furniture, appliances, flooring, or any unique donated items at a price you won't find anywhere else! Every purchase helps low-income families access safe, decent and affordable homes.

 

 What is the ReStore’s Impact?

Our mission is to build and improve the places Houstonians call home! Through shelter, we empower people to build a better future for themselves and their families by completing financial and home maintenance training, building homes alongside volunteers, and by purchasing their homes with an affordable mortgage. All proceeds from the ReStore go back into funding our builds, gardens, and other projects that help better our communities. 

Habitat ReStores acquires a majority of our merchandise through donations, meaning when items are donated to the ReStore they are kept out of the landfill and given a second chance at life. 

 

What does a Habitat for Humanity ReStore sell?

Habitat ReStores tend to resemble a home improvement store — a very unique home improvement store. The items you’ll find will range from brand new to gently used, and there will be a wide range of brands and styles. At our store you’ll find items that consist of the following categories: building materials, appliances, furniture, home décor and so much more!  Since the inventory of each ReStore depends on donations, you never know exactly what you’ll find. What is ReStore Online? 

Houston Habitat ReStore is now available for online shopping! The Online ReStore consists of our highest quality donations we don't have in-store! You can stay comfy at home without missing out on our great deals. ReStore Online offers contactless curbside pick-up for large/heavy items and national shipping for other merchandise.   

 

 

Where can I pick up ReStore Online purchases? 

For now, items are only available for pick up at Houston Habitat for Humanity ReStore #1

 Items must be retrieved within 7 days of purchase. Extensions are available upon request. 

 *If order is left for more than 2 weeks customer will be contacted and the purchase will become store credit*

 

How do I pay? 

On ReStore Online you can shop, compare, and pay for your items online, then have them shipped to home or come for Curbside Pick-Up. Any card payment is accepted, as well as Google Pay, Samsung Pay, and PayPal.

 

 

What if I don’t want my item? 

Our return policy for ReStore Online allows for order cancellations during the 7 day pick-up time frame. If the item is not to your satisfaction upon inspection, simply let us know and we will process a full refund. Items that are not eligible for returns after you take possession include but are not limited to:

· Tested/installed items such as sinks, tubs, tile, carpet

· Out-of-box items are tested before shipping/pick-up. Items returned in an unsatisfactory condition are not eligible for return. 

 *Refunds requested after the 7 day pick-up window will go through manager approval*
